    Report to the State 2019

More than 120 youth delegates from the five councils in Colorado attend the Report to the State at the State Capitol followed by the presentation of colors in the House Chambers hosted by a legislator.

The Report to the State is typically in the spring in the Old Supreme Courtroom at the Colorado State Capitol.

The Old Supreme Court Room at the State Capitol will be under construction this year and no other comparable alternatives are available at the Capitol, therefore another plan of action is under development. We apologize for an inconvenience.

At the event each Scout and Scouter needs to be in field uniform for this event. This means shirts buttoned and tucked in, pants or jeans clean with no holes and belted, all patches affixed correctly, scarf and tie slide. If the Scout resides in the Denver Area, please contact the council for assistance with a uniform or accessories if needed.

Immediately following the Report watch Scouts present the colors in the House Chambers before your Tour!

You are welcome to stay and listen to a live legislative session in the House or Senate right after the color guard presentation. Each tour starts at 1:00pm (arrive by 12:45 pm) and is limited to 30 people including chaperones. Each tour will complete all areas of the Capitol including lunch and the Dome and event will end by 2:15pm. Please remember that this is a working facility and Scouts will be asked to obey the Scout Oath and Scout  Law.

This is a popular event and early registration is recommended. Please plan accordingly as there will be no refunds. If for some reason you are unable to attend after registration, please contact Tiffany Viduya at 720.266.2165 as this will allow someone else to attend in your place.

Parents, please, do not drop your Scout off at the Capitol. While every parent need not attend, we do ask that Scouts be supervised.

This event is open to Scouts of all ages in the State of Colorado.

Map for Central Parking in the Government District. This map does not show all of the parking lots that are available near the Capitol Building. This is just one of several companies in the Denver metro area.

There are protocols for Capitol Security. In addition, in this document, there are also documents provided.
