The Venturing District is proud to provide many opportunities for fun and excitement for all Venturers across the Council.

Denver After Dark

October 14-15, 2011. Hosted by our friends in the Exploring District, this event is open to Venturers to spend Friday night to Saturday morning travelling to various work sites that are open outside of the "normal" 9-5 hours. Past tours have included the county jails, fire stations, Bonfils Blood Center, Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital, Denver Health (see the emergency room), the 911 communications center and others.     Venturing Committee Meetings

    Both Adults and Youth Are Invited

    The Venturing Program Committee meets once a month to discuss how to provide leadership and service to the Venturing Program by supporting and providing program for youth. All Venturing adults and youth are welcome to attend. Pizza is ordered - $5.00 per person.

    Meetings are held at Denver Policie Departement's District One Police Station.

    Venturing Officers Association (VOA) Meetings Scheduled

    The purpose of the Venturing Officers Association (VOA) is to provide support and guidance to maintaining and growing the Venturing program within the Denver Area Council.  You do not need to be an Officer in your home unit to attend meetings or to serve as a VOA Officer.

    The DAC VOA meets the second Thursday of every month starting at 6:00 p.m., with a fun activity planned at Colorado Adventure Point from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

    This years theme for the Absurdly Formal Adventure Ball is
    The 1920's/The Great Gatsby!

    Come join the Denver Area Council Venture Officers Association for their Annual Absurdly Formal Adventure Ball (ASFB) at Colorado Adventure Point (CAP)! We are doing things a bit differently this year in that we are hosting Cub Scouts and their parent from the Denver Area Council from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. We will have games, face painting, a photo booth, a DJ for music, plus other activities. Snacks will be provided from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. The dress will be formal. (Class A's are ok)

    For the Venture age youth we have activities like we've had in the past, such as rock climbing, welding, shooting sports, music  and other fun things to do. These activities will start at 9:00 pm and close down around midnight. There will be a meal for the Venturers starting at 8:30 pm. The dress for the Ventures will be formal/Thrift Store Formal (Class A's are ok).

    Come and enjoy CAP and hang out with Ventures that you haven't seen in a while.

    Cost for the evening:

    $20 for Cub Scouts - sibling and 1 parent

    $20 for Venturers per person
