District Letter

A letter has been mailed to all currently registered Unit Leaders and Committee Chairs with each unit in the District.  If you did not receive a copy then you may download a copy here.

Roster Check

Pioneer Trails is going to be doing a roster check to make sure that all of our Scouts from crossovers and join nights have been able to join Scouting.  We will then be checking with all of the Scouts that have not joined to see if they would like to still join in other opportunities in an effort to see if we can retain boys.  We will also be letting you know which youth and adults have not been registered.  Please submit a roster for your Unit to Pat Dannenberg (pdannenberg@denverboyscouts.org or 303-455-4689).

Popcorn

It is the time to sign up for popcorn.  Make sure your Unit's Popcorn Chair is signed up. Sign your unit up for this year's popcorn sale online or complete the PDF form and send it to our office.

Popcorn Sales as a Fundraiser for your unit is one of the best ways for you to raise money.  Dollar for dollar the amount raised per sale and per ask is more than almost any other fundraiser and with a pre-packaged plan how can you beat a successful Popcorn Sale!

Fall Camporee

Fall Camporee is scheduled to begin Thursday night Sept 24th.  Check out will be Sat or Sun.  Troops will have the option to check in Friday but with the boys out of school that Friday because of a Teacher in Service day why waste the whole day?  Activities are being planned for all day Friday and part of the day on Saturday.  The Camporee will be held down at Magness at PV.  For questions or ideas please contact the Camporee Chair:  Bob Kron  For more information visit the Fall Camporee on the Calendar.

Information Gathering

Pioneer Trails is in the final stages of making a map that will be shared on the District Website.  It will show where each unit meets, recruits from, and will give some unit information on how to contact the unit.  Please take the time to submit your unit's info.  If you are not sure whether your unit has submitted your info please go ahead and submit the form.  Pioneer Trails District Mapping Project Form.

Friends of Scouting

Thank you to all of the Scout Units in Pioneer Trails District for helping the District make its FOS goal.  It was an outstanding year for FOS in our District and each Scout Unit helped make a true difference.  Because our District did so well and finished first in the Family Campaign our District has the ability to design the 2010 FOS Patch.  Download the design and guidelines.

Day Camp

Day Camp was a huge success!  Many thanks goes out to the entire staff and especially to David Gilbert and Janice Gneiting.  To help with next year's Day Camp or to share your reflections of a great camp please contact David Gilbert .
